THE THEORETICAL BASIS OF THE STUDY OF INFORMATION SECURITY

Abstract

The article examines the importance of information security as an important indicator of the protection of citizens, society and the state. It was found that information security is considered in the context of preventing the harmful consequences that can bring a variety of information threats, as well as eliminating and overcoming these consequences with the least possible damage to society and the citizen. In this aspect, the study of not only social and psychological determinants of information security of citizens, but also political and legal resources and mechanisms of protection of the information space of the state in the functioning of the global information society becomes particularly relevant. It is analyzed that Ukraine has not yet developed an effective model of the system of information security of the state, society and the person, although this need is fixed at the constitutional level. The complex of issues of information security of the state, which includes such vectors of state activity as: security of development of the information sphere of the state; protection of the national information market; ensuring international information security, in particular, the prevention of information terrorism, the use of information weapons, information war; protection and restriction of information circulation for security purposes; protection of information infrastructure of the state and the like. It is proposed to develop a comprehensive codification document that would fully cover various aspects of the formation of state policy in the field of national security, as well as identify specific tools for its implementation.
