Features of higher education promotion of republic of Poland

Abstract

The features of promotion of higher education formation of Republic of Poland are revealed in the article. The process of internationalization of higher education in Poland since the early 1990s is analyzed. The importance of the formation of study programs for foreign students in English is emphasized. The role of the European program TEMPUS is studied in supporting and implementing higher education reforms in the Republic of Poland. There were analyzed the peculiarities of Polish universities' involvement in the Erasmus program, which significantly influenced on an understanding of the educational process in other countries. This initiative is considered in the context of its key role in analyzing of foreign experience in providing higher education services and enhancing the mobility of students and teachers. The key aspects of independent non-profit educational foundation ―Perspectives‖ activities are presented. Its role and place in the system of promotion and support of higher education of the Republic of Poland have been studied. The content and role of the Polish Migration Policy Strategy in shaping the higher education promotion system are analyzed. The article examines the functional features of the involvement of government institutions in the formation of the brand of Polish higher education abroad. The role of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland in maintaining the prestige of Polish science and strengthening its position on the academic and scientific map of the world has been determined. The legislative framework used for the promotion of higher education in the Republic of Poland is analyzed. As part of this research there were presented best practices for the implementation of educational and research programs. The Polish higher education development programs, the specificities of their formation, implementation and evaluation, have been thoroughly studied and analyzed. The special role of Polish National Agency for Academic Exchanges which is coordinating the process of internationalization of Polish academic and research institutions, is revealed.
