The article explores the national strategies on artificial intelligence in the Visegrad Group countries, adopted on the recommendations of the European Commission in the context of the Strategy for artificial intelligence in the EU. In 2018 on Digital Day 2018 the European Commission brought Ministers and representatives of EU countries together to encourage cooperation in artificial intelligence, blockchain, ehealth and innovation, building on progress made towards a Digital Single Market in which European countries signed a Declaration of cooperation on Artificial Intelligence. Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia have adopted a common position on artificial intelligence and its potential for economic development in the European Union, developing and implementing national strategies, the analysis of which allows to identify the main trends and mechanisms of EU digital policy. Each of these countries, starting in 2018, began its journey in the field of artificial intelligence, developing and implementing national strategies for the development of artificial intelligence, taking into account their own realities and priorities. At the same time, these countries are working together to achieve Europe-wide goals: a successful digital transformation of Europe, a transition to a climate-neutral, circular and resilient economy with EU digital sovereignty and a digital policy that enables people and businesses to move towards a human centred, sustainable and more prosperous digital future.
