UKRAINE'S FOREIGN TRADE POLICY AFTER WTO ACCESSION

The article analyzes Ukraine's foreign trade relations after accession to the WTO. The dynamics of volume indicators of Ukraine's foreign trade development for 2018-2020 is demonstrated. It should be noted that 2019 was characterized by positive dynamics of foreign trade, the growth rate of which compared to 2018 was 6.06%, which in absolute terms is 6,322.22 million. dollars USA, due to growth of exports and imports by 5.75% and 6.35%. Ukraine's accession to the WTO was a turning point in the development of its foreign trade relations. A positive consequence of this was the start of negotiations with the EU on the establishment of an expanded free trade area between Ukraine and the EU. Today, the WTO is 164 countries, more than 95% of world trade, more than 90% of world GDP and more than 85% of the world's population. Almost thirty countries have observer status in the WTO and are at various stages of the accession process. Acquisition of WTO membership has allowed our country not only to become a full-fledged player in the world market, but also to participate in the formation of qualitatively new parameters of world trade in the coming years. Recently, the scope of the WTO is expanding and includes not only the regulation of trade flows, but also the international economic regulation of capital and labor. Membership in this organization has become almost a prerequisite for any country seeking to integrate into the world economy.
