POPULISM AND POLITICAL MYTHOLOGIES IN THE 2022 FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Analyzing election campaigns, both for the post of president and parliamentary elections, there is always a certain political pause, which contains a kind of tool- kit that has its own elements. One of these special elements is the political myth, which is formed together with the creation of magical words and the clarification of their meaning in mytho-ritual scenarios. Very often, political slogans, which have general reflections of the election campaign, have certain messages or so- called political messages hidden inside.
A certain meaning may be hidden in a magical political slogan as a dange- rous emotional burden that overshadows the meaning, but it may also contain a personality with meaningful energy, the energy of the essence. The declarative assignment of a symbol to a phenomenon (an act of nomination) is a form of po- litical power. The national political myth is formed as a hierarchy of blood and soil: the soil refers to the concept of the people – the God-people – the bearer of knowledge about the Truth, blood (elitism) – the concept of the struggle for the real success of nations in earthly existence. The people invest in the myth- making of the nation the content of their unconscious, the experience of their ancestors reflected in symbols.
