EU STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS ON THE RF DISINFORMATION TRENDS IN THE FULL-SCALE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR

The article focuses on the top narratives of the russian federation during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war and their assessments by the EU’s strategic communications structures which helps Ukraine to resist both military invasion and Russia’s information offensives. These include the East StratCom Task Force, including the EUvsDisinfo website, and The European Digital Media Observatory. Particular attention is paid to russia’s disinformation messages on the interpretation of the reasons for the full- scale confrontation in the first year of the Russian-Ukrainian war, namely, Ukraine does not want to implement the Minsk and Normandy agreements, its position is the only obstacle to the peace process in the Donbas; Ukraine is rather an artificial entity than a sovereign state; Ukrainian lands are his- torically russian; the Ukrainian authorities are presented as puppets of the Anglo-Saxons; Ukraine has become a hotbed of Nazism, which poses a threat to everything Russian, etc.
